alright. lets see. its been a while since i've written anything worth reading on here...let me think if i can write anything good...hm.

em. so i am halfway thru my last week of work here in ireland. its pretty weird. it has been a fast 4 months. but at the same time, it seems like forever ago when i left home and landed in dublin having no idea what anything was.

last week when i came back from the weekend home, i was thinking about how different it was flying from the States to Dublin that time as opposed to the last time I had done it. the first time i did it (4 months ago) i was nervous and hadnt the slightest idea what i was doing or where i should go in the airport and wotnot. this time thru i was real chill and relaxed - not a care in the world. i knew exactly what to do in immigration, i knew exactly where to go in the airport (mainly how to get home) - i knew WHERE home was. the busride thru the city - i knew what part of the city i was in, WHEN i was in the actual city...i know this is boring to read, but it was so weird to me when i compared. the first time i was so bewildered and i felt like a little kid on his first day to a new school i guess. welp. anyways, it was quite different the 2nd time - not to mention the fact that i knew what my bed was like before getting in it that night.

anyways. what else? meh, it was really good to go back home for a weekend. i got to spend alot of time with my family and friends, more so my family. i spanked jim john and mikey in bocce. so that was good. i was awake thru the whole movie that i watched with jim, a first i think. but most importantly, i got good ol fashioned chicken wings. mmmmmmm mm. they dont make em the same over here in ireland. they are dry here. not a fan.

welp, thats all i can think of for now.

here are 60 pictures of Saint Peter's Basillica and the view thereof...

so, in 8 days i will be leaving ireland. its kinda weird...from there ill be meeting my cousin adam in germany. then a schoolmate from highschool, Lars, in amsterdam, then back to dublin for a day, then home on the 19th...wow...short 4 months...

Well, lets see. How's everybody doing today? Good? Good.

lets see, i know this is old, but lemme give you a little peek into my weekend in italy 10 days ago...

I arrived butt-early on wednesday, sry, left butt-early. but it was okay because i was able to give my neck bone structural problems on the plane ride there...i mean, i was able to get some sleep on the plane ride there...i think the toughest part about when i got to italy was knowing who did and who didnt speak english, becuase i alway got it wrong..."hi, i need 1 ticket to rome please?" - "preggo?" or...

"uh....un...biglayto a roma?" - "yes, here you go, to termini is what you want correct?" it was a bit embaressing for myself to be honest.

anyways, i got to rome fine, went to my hostel, in the smelly part of town, got settled, the lady running the hostel spoke only italian, but we figured it out...

started walking around the city, saw the 3 things i wanted to see, then kept walking, then REALLY saw the 3 things i wanted to see. everything in Rome is old so i thought that anything old was the pantheon...it wasnt...it was something else of random importance...haha. anyways, i KNOW that i saw the spanish steps, the pantheon, the memorial to the unknown soldier, the coloseum, trevi fountain, and the four rivers fountain, so that was real sweet. i also ate good pizza and gelato (also sweet - PUN).

i was a bit dehydrated, so the view from the spanish steps was a bit blury...

em, so i just spent my whole day walking around the city and taking in the sights, it is a pretty cool city, confusing yes, dirty, somewhat, filled with italians, fairly. but its a decent city none the less.

anyways, i went back to the hostel after a very long day and just kinda chilled, talked with a few of the other people staying in the hostel, and went to sleep, oh yea, got a shower too, hot water and all...it was great...welp, more later...

in other news, i had a great weekend, my cousin adam came saturday night, so we were able to chill and talk for a while, then the next morning his mother Rose and brother Byron came so i spent the day with them. very nice, its good to see family, and they are good people too, so that was a double nice. i then went to the Jameson Distillary with them, hadnt done that before so it was real cool to go there...had dinner with some friends from Sweeden and France and then went home...and yesterday was normal day of work...

anyawys, back to work, there is a small chance ill be flying to Toronto tomorrow so keep ur fingers crossed for me and say a little prayer. i think i'd be able to go to the rochester for the weekend if i do go...

anyways, ill keep you updated.

go browns...

go john's soccer team and john's headball-goal.

hey yall...i had a great weekend. some of the girls from Houghton in Tanzania came to visit so that was real fun. but this weekend i got to see two things that i've been dying to see...

CROKE PARK - THE 3rd BIGGEST STADIUM IN ALL OF EUROPE...

and...

KILMAINHAM GAOL.

both places are landmarks in the irish struggle for revolution, i was so happy to see them...more on that later.

Hey everyone. again, just sittin here to let you know im alive and wotnot.

lets see. ok, so, normal week, normal calling and wotnot, very slow week for Emergency so that wasnt so great but...we're still here (=. anyways, em, i helped on a job on friday, so that was fun, from CT to Romania, sweet huh? then friday after work i decided that i need to start practicing my spanish for la so idk, for like 30 of 45 minutes i spoke in only spanish with my co worker from spain and my co worker from france who speaks some spanish

thats my poor attempt at trying to get the three of us (Me, Sandra, and Noemie) in the pic...meh...

then on saturday i went into city center to buy a sports jacket for a wedding im going to in italy next week and ran into some friends and went to a tourist museum about Dublin the middle ages and the vikings and wotnot, that was pretty freakin sweet.

then on sunday we had a picnic at Pheonix park, it was great. it was a beautiful day, the sun was out, we had a soccer ball (football, w/e) and it was prolly the first time that i've touched a soccer ball in about 3 months. i really wanted an american football tho, and a baseball and glove. cause there were guys there playing cricket and i was jealous.

thats us at the park.. yea there was this big washington monument like thing in the midddle of the park, the foreigners kept calling it an obelisc? idk. is that a real thing?

oh yea, so i got to watch 10 minutes of the sabres...GO SABRES. friday night. but the game didnt start till after midnight, and i was tired, so i fell asleep by mistake...tear...but they won that game! then they lost...but they're up 2-1!!! go sabres!!!!

also, the browns had quite an exciting weekend, i cant wait for the season to start and see what we can do, i am very excited....

em...i took a bunch of what i like to consider "artsy" pictures. which means they are of nothing but from a weird perspective...so maybe next time ill put those up...

cheers and love and happiness

wow, so, i really enjoyed belfast, even tho the city is small, dead on sundays (which is when i went) and...something else. there is alot of recent history, from "the troubles". this may mean nothing to some of you, but i was able to go down Shankhill Road. 5 years ago, i could have died going down there just because i was a stranger. crazy. anyways, here are some pics of my day, it was short, more bus riding than anything else i think, but i enjoyed it.

there were a bunch of BMXers in one of the parks, it was awesome to watch them, half were posers and half were ok, 2 or 3 were real good i thought...sick phil

you cant tell maybe, but the clock tower is leaning, allegedly that was the red light district area and the tour guide said alot of heavy women would lean on it while they were waiting...tehe

there are a ton of sweet murals in Belfast, these were some of my personall favorites, notice the Bush one, its a two-for-oner. i think if you click the pics, they'll get bigger and you'll be able to read em.

thats the most bombed building in europe.

also, Belfast loves that they built the titanic. i took the tour bus that drove past the harbour area, and they said how they could make one boat a week out of there, when they had like 30,000 people working there, i could imagine it, that place would have been crazy awesome to have been around in its heyday. also, a bajillion protestants amd litterally one catholic made the titanic.

um...cheers?

love?

happyness?

Hey yall. just writin a little note to let everyone know im still alive

i have a bit of a headache today.

over the weekend i had to organize a shipment for Valeo Sylvania, went great, but i worked for about an hour on saturday so...meh

then today we got a shipment out of buffalo to hungary, very exciting, but a headache. good news is, i get to see Davis Butwid (from work) tomorrow night so!

then just now i got another job from Valeo sylvania so needless to say its been a busy day for me and will be tomorrow as well.

now, quick story bout the weekend.

i was walking into church, and there is this little grassy area in the front of the church where all the kids under 10 usually are, playing soccer, rugby, gaelic football, what ever. anyawys, sunday there was this big orange traffic cone in the middle of the grass. i watched a 4 year old kid walk towards it, drop his pants, and start peeing in the side that had gotten torn off. it was great. then his dad came to stop him, too late, and the little boy gooes "dad look, if you have to go to the bathroom and you're outside you can go here!" hahahah, good times

in other news, reggie dabbs is coming to my church this saturday. so thats exciting.

in other news, sabres are playing tonight and hopfully will take the lead again

go browns

love to all

cheers

Easter?

So, this past weekend was easter, happy easter yall. first off, idk if i said this or not, but. Dublin on Good Friday is like the West just before a shootout, except, no dust. my point is, they arent allowed to sell alcohol in the entire country of ireland on good friday. needless to say, the liquor stores have a pretty good day on Holy Thursday, haha. but, also, the city is dead b/c no one goes out to the pubs and everyone goes away for the weekend, it was kinda erie, pa.
so, on easter sunday, after church (where they called it ressurection sunday once (here i thought it was just me)) i took a 30 minute busride, or something like that, to the coast, got ice cream, walked the pier, saw the spirit of ontairo...what??

yea, weird, i know. i thought it was still in nova scotia (or where ever) too.

anyways, uh, good times, great oldies, bought a candel for my room, good move bad move.

good move - my room doesnt smell like old clothes (since i just did laundry...)

bad move - my room smells like vanilla and makes me want oreos and candy.

anyways, sabres are the best, it official.

go browns

go me - im awesome
